Harm Hoebergen is co-owner and operations director of Blenddata. He says: “At 44 years old, I am the nestor of this club. I was working as a freelancer when I was asked if I was interested in joining Blenddata. I was keen to take up that challenge.”
The phase Blenddata is in also appeals to me. We are past the real start-up phase and there is a nice foundation. I look forward to continuing to build on this foundation together.” Besides his work, Harm can be found on the football pitch a lot. “I live with Danique and our sons aged 11 and 9 in Asten. My sons both play football and I am head coach of their team. I also like to kick a ball around myself on Sundays. I also run regularly. I think it’s important to be fit: it gives me energy.”

“In my role as operations director, I ensure that our employees enjoy their work and can develop, that customers are satisfied and projects become successes, and I keep an eye on the financial figures. I am also involved in client assignments. I like to have my feet in the clay and get to know them well. I don’t have big ambitions: I think it’s important to have fun in my work, to do fun things. Getting into the car with a smile in the morning and going home with a smile in the afternoon: that is the basis for me. Blenddata is a company I can build together with the team. I want to ensure that our colleagues enjoy working here. Room for development is the key to this. I encourage colleagues to do what they like and take control of their own careers. In doing so, they get a lot of freedom, but also support when needed.”

Harm quickly felt at home within Blenddata. “The informal atmosphere within the company definitely contributed to this”, In the morning, during the stand-up, we update each other on who is working on what, we have lunch together and even when there is something in between, everyone is incredibly approachable.
I regularly see a group of people standing together at a desk, focused on solving a problem together. I think that’s cool. All these things make people enjoy coming to the office at Blenddata. Even outside working hours, we regularly seek each other out. There is a lot organised: a beer on Fridays, a monthly outing and even an annual holiday. This creates a strong bond between colleagues.”
