What does a Medior Data Engineer at Blenddata do?

In various sectors, you work for leading companies such as Rabobank, De Lage Landen, Damen Shipyards and Nationale-Nederlanden. You will prepare these clients for the future by designing data processes more efficiently and increasing work happiness. With other talented engineers and innovative technologies, you will make objectives measurable so that organisations achieve their strategic goals and competitive advantage.

Together with your colleagues, you are the expert and knowledge partner for our customers, for whom you are both creative consultant and technical builder of data platforms. You develop modular and easy-to-maintain pipelines and modules, which process data on the data warehouse or datalake. In your team, you are responsible for the technical implementation and supervise less experienced colleagues.

What are some of the tasks I will be doing as a Medior Data Engineer at Blenddata?
  • Develop scalable and robust data flows using advanced data technologies and frameworks, including Azure, Python, Spark, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Create modular data platforms for our customers based on our validated services framework.
  • Implementing CI/CD and testing data flows.
  • Develop new features with short development cycles following SCRUM principles.
What does our perfect match look like?
  • You have 2 years or more of work experience and fancy joining an ambitious and growing company.
  • You have a completed university degree (WO) in Computer Science, Data Science or another quantitative field.
  • You have the ambition to take data engineering to the next level by applying software engineering best practices. You enjoy sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues.
  • Spotting opportunities and advising clients in an informal way comes naturally to you, while you build long-term relationships with clients.
  • You enjoy working in a team and play a role in coaching juniors.
  • You fit into the informal culture at Blenddata headquarters.
  • You speak and write Dutch and English fluently.
How will I be rewarded for this position?
  • Salary: between €3,500 and €5,000 per month, depending on your experience.
